Ben Wood
Ben has been singing since he could speak, and is well known as a top-notch vocalist in the Atlanta area. Being a country boy at heart, he enjoys singing old and new country, but takes great pleasure in making southern and classic rock as well as 80s/ 90s rock his very own. You get a chance to hear Ben sing it all with Double Clutch and the Downshifters.

Randy Payne
Randy’s guitar playing began as a youth listening to his dad’s friends and family “jamming” on weekend nights. As most guitarists evolve, he played the scene in Athens during college, then taking a brief sabbatical from the guitar through his grad school years. Falling back in love with the instrument within the last five years, he has used his great vocal and stage chemistry with Ben to become the second part of the power duo of Double Clutch and the Downshifters.

Mike Miller
Mike Miller is a guitarist gone rogue, picking up the bass guitar and falling in love with the technique and sound of the bass groove. He has played in many bands in the Atlanta area, and has an impressive resume of past music history. Though he has a meek personality, he lets his bass do the talking.

Adam Martin
Adam is the college boy of the group, majoring in music education. His deep understanding of music theory keeps everyone in check, and though he doesn’t sing, he knows the words to every song we play. Adam is versed in jazz and blues, and aside from aspiring to teach music, he is also a free-lance pro drummer, and is the Who’s Who for Knowledge of Anatomy by Braille.
